adept_notifier

Okay, so X11 crashed on me and I no longer have the green notification (in the system tray?) that my system is up-to-date with all known upgrades. However, adept_notifier is running, as when I run Adept and there are upgrades available, the warning triagngle apears in the system tray.

I've done a sudo apt-get --reinstall install adept to no effect. Anyone have an idea as to how I can get that comforting green blob back??? Cheers

I have exactly the same problem, there are no more updates available, but the notifier keeps showing me the triangle and tells me " 1 update package available"
Don't know what to do...

could be a partially downloaded pkg or a broken pkg.
try sudo dpkg -configure -a
and see what happens.
as with the green button in system tray, mine goes away after some time. it is never always there.
