[solved] kmix muted

i added a non kubuntu audio driver form the makers of the sound card . I had to to a zillion things to restore sound. however. now mix is muted on boot and is only an annoyance as i can ummute any ideas???

I normally use alsamixer and to save my settings so they will survive a reboot, I use

sudo alsactl store For me those settings also effect KMix.

must be a ghost in there now its no longer muted :-)
