[SOLVED] Upgraded, but now no GUI

Hope starting a new thread for this isn't a problem.

I upgraded from an alternate install cdrom. 64-bit, from 8.10 to 9.04.

However, unfortunately I now have no GUI. I boot up, I get the normal loading screen, but once it gets past that, there is no GUI. It's just the command line version.

Any suggestions? Cheers

Sorry, I should have done some more reading before I wasted anybody's time. Problem solved. Apologies.

I've got this also.
It's because the videocard (in my situation).
So take a look at your supplier of the videocart. Maybe you must install the driver
