In my home office, I have a Ubuntu server 8.10 running set up with CUPS and Samba. It is no problem to print from the Windows PC's in the house, but when I tried connecting to the Samba printing, Kubuntu (9.04) can see the printer, but the data never arrives. Seems to be stuck in a que somewhere.

It counts the number of jobs, but I never see any icon or anything where I can manage printjobs. Under the printersetup, there is nowhere to delete a printjob that is "stuck" etc.

Any suggestion for an application that can do the job?

I was finally able to print setting up remote printing (not using Samba). But I am still curious to how this should work. I have friends that will need this soon. They will also need to share a printer connected to Kubuntu with others.

I hope somebody answers you because I'm having a similar problem printing from Kubuntu (using Samba) to a network printer on an XP network. Kubuntu recognizes the printer and the XP machines detect Kubuntu, the printing job starts but nothing really comes out: it continues to be queued even after I've shut down and restarted and logged on again.
