KDE4.1.4 -> 4.2. Problem when try to install

Hi, I see this topic and try some of the suggestions, but I'm a litle lost...

The problem show up when I try to install KDE 4.2 from using the guidelines on the KUBUNTU page.

The windows manager "disapear" (no panels, no desktop, no menus, etc), but I still have the firefox running and a konsole window and can change between the windows open. Within the console window I can still launch other programs.

When I use sudo apt-get -f install, I get this message:

Not really,
Because the error I mentioned happens exactly when I use -f install, that work for that case, but for me, I got the errors that I showed.

Try:

sudo dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/kdebase-workspace-data_4%3a4.2.0-0ubuntu1~intrepid1~ppa7_all.deb

Then use apt-get -f install to install the rest of the packages and continue with the rest of the update.

Seens that now its all ok.

First, I close the adept and do not press ok.
Then, I re-run he, and he show-me that there was a conflict between some configuration files.

I choosed the new files and now the KDE looks like is working...
