I noticed this problem about two weeks ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nfs-utils/+bug/306016 (& dupe https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/306343).
I haven't seen anyone else complaining about it here (though it surely affects anyone mounting NFS shares w/Jaunty), but thought I would throw this note out anyway - as a caveat/help for anyone considering upgrading to the alpha. This is probably the largest functional problem I know of at the moment (which means the alpha's going pretty smooth <g>).
Basically, if you're going to mount NFS volumes with the present kernel, you have to use the nolock option.
