Anyone tired to install it?
I did on my second disk, but now I must configure my grub menu, so it will recognise Open Solaris.
---
From Live CD Open Solaris looks nice, but I wanted to see if it's better then Ubuntu and what the ease of use is. I thought that my Kubuntu grub will be overwritten, but it isn't because it's on the other disk.
(How could I possibly think that it will be overwritten)
So could anyone help me with that.
BTW my Kubuntu is on hda but Solaris is on sda. I know that I have to add it to grub.lst, just don't know what to write so it will work...
----
What do you think about OpenSolaris is it an good OS or is still in development like BSD?

I tried installing it on my laptop but it wrecked my MBR so that nothing would boot. I had to use the SuperGrub CD to restore my MBR, then I used GParted to completely delete my Linux partitions so I could start over. (Dual boot with XP)

By the way, my laptop is a little older.... it's a Compaq Presario 2170us. I tried Ubuntu 8.04 but it doesn't like my laptop's hardware, especially the older ATI card.

I'm back to Kubuntu 7.10 and everything is once again quick and smooth.
