Hey I'm new to Kubuntu I tried to get new sources for adept , and I messed something up. Now adept will not start. I get the following message

E: Type 'http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl/http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl/http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl' is not known on line 57 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

How can I fix this to get my updates again?

Maybe try this:-

In konsole type
kdesu kwrite /etc/apt/sources.list

Type in your password when it asks you

When kwrite opens, scroll down till you find the faulty line
(the one that says 'http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl/http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl/http://mirror.ubuntulinux.nl

Delete that one line, save and exit.

Go back to Adept, click on Fetch updates, when it is done, Apply.

That should work.

You aren't using Automatix are you?? If you are, beware, as it will at some point give you problems with your system. Better to stick with Adept Manager or Synaptic.
