Hi guys.

Just upgraded from 7.04...

KMix worked fine on 7.04, the volume controls on my keyboard worked fine with no tuning. Nothing..

However, after upgrading to 7.10..

When I turn the volume up with my laptop keys - it goes from 0% - to 11%, and then stops. It's either 0, or 11%. And it doesn't effect how loud the volume actually is.

alsamixer works, and even Kmix(if you open the control panel) controsl the volume PERFECTLY.

But it's something to do with ~/.kde/share/config/khotkeysrc'

Any ideas???

(khotkeysrc is way too large to paste..)

Try paste.biz (http://paste.biz).

This is ~/.kde/share/config/khotkeysrc

http://paste.biz/paste-2851.html

I also added shortcuts in KMIx under "Global Shortcuts" for volume up + down, but still nothing.

Strange: the MUTE button works, though.

This is from xev when I do volume up + down

Also, I did .. kcontrol-> Regional -> nput, and manually edited and added VolumeUp.. with DCOP. Used:

dcop kmix Mixer0 increaseVolume 2

And pressed "Try" and it works. Yet, when you press FN+Volumeup(which is what I set it too), it still doesn't use this. It uses whatever default is.. and displays the 11% that it displays no matter how many times I press volume up.

Anyone?

This probably mysteriously fixed itself when I did an upgrade(Just installed 7.10 last night) - and had 74 packages to install when I did the upgrade. However, I don't have the little neat Volume Scale anymore.. but it works, which is what counts.
