I have a perl tk program that works nicely on Fedora but can't get it to run on Kubuntu.

Straight perl programs seem to work well enogh

It seems to me that there is no perl-tk package for Kubuntu. If anyone can tell me that there is, where it is and how I can install it I would be ever so greatful.

There is, indeed, a perl-tk package.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/perl/perl-tk

How to install it, launch Adept Manager from K Menu -> System and search for perl-tk. Right-click on it, request install, and click on Apply Changes.

If you aren't finding perl-tk in adept then you probably don't have the universe repository set.

Go to the adept / manage repositories menu and, in the kubuntu software tab, make sure the 4 repositories main, universe, restricted, multiverse are selected.
