Hey Everybody
I'm new to Linux, and I got it to work just today. Now, I want to mount a partition, and install some drivers, and do basic stuff like that. But, almost all of it requires a root login...
So, I read that I had to write "su" in the konsole, to root login. And, so I did. But, then a problem appears, and a very strange one indeed. I can write my login fine, but as soon as I have pressed enter, and it asks for my password, I can't type a thing. It is as if my keyboard is locked, and the only thing I can do is press enter, and then it, ofcourse, says incorrect pass. I've tried everything I can think of. Writing it somewhere else, copying it and then pasting it into the konsole. I've tried writing the pass, though nothing appears, and then pressing enter anyway. I've also tried hitting Ctrl+Alt+F2, but the same thing happens. I can write all I want in the login field, but as soon as I get to the password-part, I can't write a thing. Really hoping for some help here... =)
Yours truly

By the way, I've read stuff around some forums... Everytime people explain that one should write some command, do they mean in the konsole/terminal?
