And I was just wondering if everyone here is as uptight as everyone there ;D
But anyways, I'm here now so hopefully this place gets lively.

Uptight?
What does that mean?
I think you'll find this forum generally no-nonsense. Then again, it is new, and it also seems to not have a lot going on besides support (and not too quickly either--unlike the Ubuntu Forums). However, it also doesn't have all the crazy arguments, flames, and trolls that the Ubuntu Forums sometimes have (flames to be put out... maybe that's what you mean by uptight?).

Post a question here, and you may get an answer.

If you're trying to start up a controversial topic, you may find people here will get as "uptight" as just about any moderated forum.

No support forum wants to be cluttered up with people's hang-ups.

Uptight?

Well i for one find myself being more matter-of-fact here than I do there, but that is probably more due to the fact that here, there is no real personality to the place just yet as it is a rather young place, and smaller.

the general idea behind these forums originally was to help new users with kubuntu. Some people get tired of explaining the basics and answering "common sense" questions. However the forums are growing and there are definitely more than just newbs here now. I have noticed that general conversation does not really exist here. More technical questions than debates and such. To answer your question kubuntuforums.net is not uptight in my oppinion, if that even matters :)
