I am using kubutu 5.10. I noticed when looking at system services that only about 10%* jobs that are supposed to run at start-up are running. I tried to start them from the panel and also tried to restart them from the panel, also tried to run from a terminal using sudo /etc/init.d/service restart.
How do I get them to start at boot????
* Thanks.

I downloaded webmin for user friendly (noob) system administration.
Trough webmin you can adminster your linux box via an web interface ;)

Not every sercive supposed to run by default, Even I disabled most of services which are running on my box at bootup. for example I have disabled lvm, evms, hplip, pcmci, mdadm-raid, hotkey-setup and mdadm services coz I don't need them.

What service you want to run BTW ?

Is this in reference to this admin console?

http://localhost:631/

I can not get this to accept my username and pw either.

Where do you allow the security to enable changes to CUPS?
