Being a Linux newbie myself, I was looking around for a site that had good info about the command line. After installing Kubuntu, I realised that navigating around the GUI wasn't very different than "that other legacy OS"* ;) The true difference seemed to be in the correct use of the command line, but I was at a loss as to which command did what, and their correct syntax.

I stumbled upon this link (http://www.linuxcommand.org/) which isn't specific to Kubuntu, but teaches you the basics step by step, and is quite detailed.

If any one knows of any other useful sites for newbies to learn stuff from, post it here.

How about Terminal for Beginners (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=73885&highlight=command-line+beginners)?

I have these two pages bookmarked:
http://www.ss64.com/bash/
http://linuxreviews.org/beginner/#toc1

The first one is good for people of all knowledge (well, maybe not the l33t people that remember all the commands). The latter one is excellent for beginners, as it shows the way linux is, as well as some basic commands.
